FLASH: colouring imported vector art?

I have created an image in Freehand 8 and I exported it as a flash 3 file -

I then imported the image into Flash and it comes through ok - But how do I

change the colour of the different sections - When I choose a shape, break

it apart and then try to fill it, it turns clear?  - Is anyone else having

these problems?


Am I doing something wrong?
