I have to admit, seeing 107 new messages in my box for "lazy (or absurd)
questions posted" EVERY day is becoming annoying. I'll go one step
further and give the url for the .pdf document.

I hate to rain on anyone's parade, but I've been monitoring this list
for a couple of months now, and in the past few weeks I've noticed a
significant increase in the number of lazy (or absurd) questions posted
to the list...

...and I've been amazed at the Flash experts' patience in answering all
these questions. In fact, I'm concerned that if so many people continue
to rely on so few experts for the answers to questions they could have
answered themselves, the experts will (understandably) bow out of here.

I'm learning Flash myself, but I rarely post a question unless I've
thoroughly researched the answer first. One thing I've discovered is
that there are a LOT of excellent Flash resources on the web. And the
Flash manual is fine for answering many of the questions I've seen (like
"How do I scale something" or "can I import an image with a transparent
background"). Don't have the manual? (Hmmm...) Download the PDF file
from Macromedia.

So to everyone out there: THINK and DO YOUR HOMEWORK before resorting to
this list as the public oracle for all your questions! This is a bad
habit to get into!
