Hey Fernando,


I was doing such an online encyclopedia for Dorling Kindersley in Arabic and

Persian. My choice of proggies was Flash. The site never got online as at

that time, flash 2 was not upto the standards and was taking tooooo long to

load (single files! no movies on layers support). If I were to do it again,

I would still go for flash however, I would first want to check out your

data...... more text, go for HTML on Dreamweaver; multimedia..... go for

flash / director (will take longer to download though!)

I´m in a project for making an encyclopedia that will be both distributed in

CD-Rom and available on-line. The amount of infomation managed here makes

necessary the use of a data base that would store large amounts of text,

images,

animations, etc, and make possible complex queries. There are also many

flash-made

animations to explain things like blood circulation, etc.


The questions here are the following:


؟Which is the most suitable tool for doing this?. ؟Is it posible to make it

with

Flash, Dreamweaver, and some kind of Xtra to manage the database? or ؟Is

director

the right choice?. ؟Anyone has worked in a project like this?
