Subject: | FLASH: OT : Security Concerns with SW7 |

As it's easier to get official replies by posting to this list, or at
least get informed answers, I'm posting this here, anyway sorry for the
slight OT nature.
As you may know using the auto update feature of SW7 poses a security
risk due to the fact that the info sent to Macromedia in anonymous and
full options includes URL's that can have sensitive info in them( e.g.
user names and passwords). I have been searching the Macromedia site for
an official statement on this but have found none. I have advised
clients to switch off the update feature, but this does defeat the whole
purpose of this feature. So, does anyone know where I can find
Macromedia's statement that they will be correcting this soon ?
