Subject: | FLASH: Paul Rand quote for Flashers |

Here's an excellent quote by Paul Rand, who (for those who don't know
him) is one of the greatest designers of the 20th century. I think the
quote is a good thing for all Flashers to keep in mind...
"Without the aesthetic, design is either the humdrum repetition of
familiar cliches or the wild scramble for novelty. Without the
aesthetic, the computer is but a mindless speed machine, producing
effects without substance, form without relevant content, or content
without meaningful form." ---Paul Rand
(Somehow, I believe that many Flashers will ignore the advice. <g>)
