Make sure under your systems sound recording properties you don't have the
microphone's GAIN set to anything higher than 1. Also, If you are playing
the CD in your system's CD-drive you should not have to record through the
microphone, you can record directly from the CD output. This can usually be
set in the system's recording properties(not SoundEdit).
