If you've already picked apart the stuff that comes with Flash (samples, manual, etc...) and haven't been able to figure it out, you can check out the tutorial on making movie clips, and another on adding them to buttons, at http://www.flashlite.net.  It's under Help Files in the Newbie Guide.
