Hi Bob,

Lot of mis-information lately.

Almost all AOL users now use an AOL 3.0 or later browser.
99% of all AOL borowser now used are MSIE type browsers.
97% of all AOL 3.0 and later borowser do support Flash. AOL 3.0 for Mac
(2%) is based on MSIE 2.1 and IWENG 3.0 (1%) both do not support Flash.

Current AOL browsers are mostly variations of MSIE, but there are 2
other basic AOL 3.0 or later browsers types:

The original IWENG 3.0 version and earlier does not support Flash or
transparent Gifs, JavaScript or many other thongs. It still mades up 1%
of AOL browsers. In that one percent are actually some AOL 3.1 IWENG
browsers that do support Flash. AOL used to add the Plugin for Flash for
users with the AOL 3.0 IWENG browser by replacing the whole browser with
the AOL IWENG 3.1 version. They now add the plugin by replacing it with
an IE version of their browser.

The other browser type which was used is the Netscape/AOL cobranded
browser. Very few are or were used but the AOL 3.0 and later versions of
those of course are Flash capable.
I expect will will see a new Netscape AOL browser soon :-).
