Put you sounds in a MC and control them from the buttons. Then you can

have a master control moving to a frame where the MC doesn't exist or

use a nested Movie clip to put in a master control.

No, but you can use the Align function to align objects by their bottom

edges.

Any layer can be made into a guide layer. Click on the Layer properties

(on the left of the layer's timeline) and select Guide. Anything put in

a Guide layer will be seen in the authoring environment but not be in

Test Movie or the exported SWF file.
