I have a 12x12 Wacom tablet which is fantastic, much better than a mouse, but we have encountered a problem. We have two here that we bought in April last year and on both of them the plastic has cracked where you rest your wrist. Has anyone else heard of this happening?

Also, they are great for tracing, as they are 1:1 with a 17" screen.
