You can convert WAV to MP3 and vice versa in Cool Edit but you need a plugin
to do it - www.syntrillium.com . Otherwise there are various
freeware/shareware programmes at www.mp3.com which should do the job. Hope
this helps.

Eva's query does raise something I've been wondering though. Why can't Flash
accept MP3 files instead of doing the compression itself? The compression
isn't as good as a dedicated MP3 encoder (not surprisingly). Could this be
addressed in future releases?
