It's the text field that doesn't appear even though I have clicked the
option to show border in the properties box.

When you use editable text fields you must include the outline fonts. In the
properties dialog box of the text field you can find this option. Maybe this
is your problem if is the content what disappears... or is the text field
what doesn't appears?
