Subject: FLASH: jpeg Compression ? and Flash

I am curious about compression settings and Flash.

I try to reduce all my images before importing them into Flash. But I
note that Flash export has a slider for .jpg compression. I am wondering
if I scale a graphic down to 10k for import and then have Flash put out
jpgs at 50% if I am reducing the quality of the image even further...

Secondly, I use Fireworks to compress a lot of my images and it has a
"progressive" option for Jpeg. It usually adds less than a 'k' to the
image, but I am wondering if that is useless in Flash, since the image
loads or preloads by frame...
