Err... Those are raster effects. This would be also be true if you build the
buttons in Photoshop or Fireworks.

There are several things you can do that will cause an object to become a
raster image. To keep an eye on the objects and the filesize, turn on
"Active Preview" menu under "View". Across the bottom of the document
window, it will show you the file size for the document and for a selected
object. On the far right is an indicator of raster or vector object.

You need to set keyframes for an attribute. Expand the attributes for that
object (the little triangle next to the name of the object in the timeline.)
Click the stopwatch on the "Position" attribute after you've expanded it and
it will place a keyframe. Then, move the time indicator to a different point
in time and move the object. LM will automatically tween between the two
settings.

LM isn't strictly a Flash authoring tool. You can also generate GIFs and
JPEGs and it will automatically slice the document up for you. The HTML text
tool allows you to draw regions that, when the table is created, will
contain the HTML you enter into that region.

It is a new baby and it's a much different approach than you're probably
used to.
