You should be able to fix this by editing the buttons - either Option
Click on them or Double click on them in the Library. When you are in
edit mode for the button, go to the last frame of the button states (the
Hit frame) and see if there is anything weird there. Whatever is in that
frame (invisible or not) will define the hit area for the button.
