But you can still grab sounds/symbols out of these de-protected swf files?

While Swift Tools allows people to unlock your work, it isn't perfect.
I have the SWF browser that allows me to open any SWF up. However, you can
see
all of the animations and sounds in a SWF. The actionscript is a MESS,
because
when you complile an FLA to a SWF it flattens everything out making it very
hard
to reconstruct what you have done. I have even unlocked my own SWF's and the
resemblence between what I wrote and what was compiled if fairly slim,
almost to
the point of unrecognizability.
