If you have alot of detail in your content, QTs
can actually be quite comparable to swfs, if
compressed properly. Both use http streaming, and
a QT can be designed such that it starts up with
a small poster or vector animation that plays
while the bigger stuff loads. Further, the
Qdesign music codec supported by QT is ~5-10
better than flash's mp3 for compressing sound.
You can check out some examples of mine,
comparing ~400k 3d flash files with similar sized
(but _much_ more detailed) QTs.

However, I would love it if I could embed QTs in
a flash interface, calling the QT player in the
manner Shockwave does...
