Thanks for your words. Very encouraging.
Id like to share my opinion of flash and HTML together.
I personally think that pure flash sites are best suited to design or promotion houses
high impact low contect sites where a visual message is everything. Such houses as balthaser, matinee, eye4U all benefit from high impact sites like this as they showcase their skills.
I find that for content HTML is the best. Because it loads fast, its easy to read,
familar and due to the fact I am serving over 3 gig a day!!! It leaves me with little choice.
I choose to incorporate flash where it is useful, I rarely use flash for flashes sake, and as some of you have pointed out I think I have used it intuitively and cleverly in the sounds section, using the power of flash audio to preview sounds in mp3, before having to make a wasted download of a wav file that just didnt seem write.
A classic example that springs to mind is Shockfusion. This is a technically and artistically advanced site, yet I find their bulletin board incredibly hard to read. Compare this with the stock standard HTML UBB board, and then add features such as flash footers (which I have just added) and you get a content/information rich experience as well as allowing generous use of flash for visual and creative flair.
I think that HTML and flash can be linked together in a better union then either one by itself!
My 2 cents!
