Actually, yeah!
She'll bust her tail to shop for a great deal, which is fine - and if that
works for what she's interested in purchasing, more power to her.
But my wants and needs tend to be more upper scale (can you say computers
and peripherals? Music workstations? A decent telescope?).
I decided that I needed a new pumped Windows machine to follow my
freelancing muse, so I talked my mother into getting one for me. Call it an
investment in my future.
This didn't go over well at all with the wife, since I didn't let her in on
the decision-making process.
Something I had tried numerous times in the past, and I always end up
settling for second-rate stuff.
Like a Mac Performa on sale in some Wal-mart somewhere. All 66mHz of it.
Yeesh.
Not this time, brother.
I finally have all my interests and hobbies covered equipment-wise.
Now can shut up.
And Flash content runs great on it!
