Subject: FLASH: Movie size regarding distortion
From: Shaun Brazier

Hi folks.

I have a concern regarding movie size and publishing. I have made my movie 1024 x 585 in size. I work obviously work at a resolution of 1024 x 768. I have so far been publishing my movie at 100% of the window. It looks fine at my resolution but when I drop it down to 800 x 600, it all goes pear shaped. I am looking to eventually present the movie in a preset window(with no scroll or toolbars) which will obviously be relative to 1024 x 585. I am getting quite confused about how to go about this. Basically, I don't want the movie to be distorted when the resolution is changed. Would this not mean that I would need to have a window that took up a certain percentage of the users screen?

As you can probably tell, I am going about the whole thing in the wrong way. I did see a post a week or so ago about a script that Branden created to detect screen resolution or some thing, however I did not get the actual script. Is this what I need and if so how would I implement it. I it is what I need, is there any chance that someone could repost that script?....Please!

Many thanks in advance.
