I too am suitably impressed and grateful for Branden's skills and
contributions. But it still bothers me to see this kind of statement,
just as it bothers me to see the vain use of God in swearing.

There is a fine line between giving honor to our fellows, which is right,
and hubris. I know this is said in jest, so I don't think it is done
with any kind of intentional disrespect. But I am always leery of
statements like this even in jest, knowing that sometimes there is a
recompense for things done even unintentionally.

I always shudder when I hear the quote by the builders of the Titanic...
it was a ship that
"even God himself couldn't sink."
