Cheri Harder and Bob Shuster posted this idea yesterday and it really didn't
give the effect of motion when tested. It wound up looking like a box
floating on top of a static window. Maybe Paul Kilgor has the right idea
when he suggested zooming in on the image to give the effect of perspective.
I'm not sure how to accomplish this without enlarging the image in a MC
because I think it will play hell on the processor. I'm pretty sure that
enlarging the window as it pans across the static photo in the background
will not work as it will wind up just looking like a box on a static photo
getting bigger. What I need is a Quicktime VR effect, but done in flash as a
movie clip.

A few other people suggested lifting frames from a video and importing as
picts. This would be the best solution visually but I'm fairly sure it would
be too big to download at 56k and it wouldn't work smoothly without a fast
processor. In my mind, the "movie" of the skyline would have to be at least
400x250 (inset into a 640x480) to get the effect the client is looking
for... that's a lot of data to stream in Flash then expect the average
machine to keep up. I wish I could pursue it with some testing but I don't
have the footage laying around to try it.

Thanks everyone, you have some great ideas.. enough to keep the job
possibility alive for awhile longer.
