FLASH: Help with buttons and scrolling text combination

What I am "trying" to achieve is a button that has up, over, down states,

with the down state remaining until released by a mouse click and with

scrolling text controlled by forward and backwards buttons, which would

enable the user to control the scrolling.


I have tried numerous things...managing to achieve one option but never all

simultaneously. I am becoming frustrated and confused at an amazing rate of

knots.


Does anyone have an suggestions or can point me in the right direction for a

tutorial???
