Subject: FLASH: 100% Black..?
From: Henke Hemma

Hey!

I have a small problem. I have begun to create a Flashed site for a
colleague. He has sent me a bunch of TIFFs created in his SGI for me (I'm
on a Mac), both for reference on how he wants the page to look, and to
use as background images. I have converted the TIFFs to JPEGs in
PictureViewer (set to best quality) and then imported them into Flash.
The only thing I've done so far is adding buttons on top of his
background images. The weird thing is that the right hand of his image is
supposed to be 100% black, but when I view the page in Netscape Navigator
4.7 it isn't completely black. I know this because I see the 100% black
background colour in the browser behind the Flash-file, and the Flashed
background looks kind of dark grey instead of black. If you don't know
what I mean check the URL below. I have opened both his original TIFF and
my converted JPEG in Photoshop and sampled the colour, and it says it is
100% black in both cases. In my publishing settings JPEG compression is
set to 100. Anybody knows what's wrong here, and what I can do to work
around it?

Best regards,
Henrik Friberg
