Hi...


Although I looked at your site, I couldn't see a problem in 256 or

thousands of colours. But I have come accross this problem myself with

stright HTML with errors between gif & hex colours and those of a Jpeg. 


Try creating a small plain black image (8x8), saveing it as a Jpeg and

useing it as a background image in your HTML.
