Actually, sin and cos are not built in... sorry... :-(

YOu will have to use a trig library similar to the one I have up at
Flashlite.

That's the right equation for the cartesian plane. There is a way to
do it in spherical coordinates using Cos(X) +Sin(Y) = ????. I don't
have my Calc book near me and the horror of it has left me blank :-).
This may be worth looking up since Cos and Sin are built in.

If memory serves, I think a circle is defined by x**2
+ y**2 = r**2
(where **2 means squared), so for a given x, y would
be square root(
r**2 - y**2). Eg, for x=8 (and r=10), y=
sqrt(100-64)=6 (and there
would also be points at (8,-6) (-8,6) and (-8,-6) if
you're centering on
(0,0), as you seem to be). Now to get the square root
function, I think
you'll have to go check one of Branden's examples...

Helen
