Yeah you're right. Its a difficult one, I like your idea, I could place the
actual swiff under the category it is most suitable for (if that can be
established) but also have some sort of key like you suggest so that one can
see what other categories it might fit under with an indication to which
category it is actually residing.

That's perfectly fine, there is absolutely so obligation to provide a file
for download. I don't want anyone to hold back because they don't want to
provide that, its only an option. I want the emphasis to be on quality and
innovative stuff, a site where someone can come along and see what is
possible in flash and also see who is able to do it. Somewhere where people
can get noticed for their skills you now.
