Didn't see yours get answered either, Tom. Sam answer, but in case you
missed the last one

set variable "/parent/child:title" = 25

Where "parent" is the instance name of a MC on the main timeline, "child" is
the instance name of a MC within "Parent" and "title" is a variable within
"child"

Because that first "/" starts the path at the main timeline, you can set &
refer to the "title" variable this way from anywhere in the movie.

IF /parent/child:title = 25
Play
End If
