Well, now. I've saved this one to last. Of all the tons of posts today,
this is the most intriguing to me. I patted myself on the back when I
figured out how to create an orbiting planet-orb-thingy that went in front
of and then behind another orb. Then I sort of understood when Laura was
talking about having to use duplicate mc's to control the z-order of her
Mahjongg-Solitaire tiles.
Now how the heck to dynamically change the z-order with all this movement
going on? and how in the world does each mc know when it needs to
duplicate? and if it is supposed to be a lower or higher number than its
neighbors? And they get smaller and darker gradually as they move to the
back...And then the group-of-eight must be within an outer mc, so they can
react as a whole to the mouse drag-over action and move according to speed
and direction of that action, then they individually move faster or slower
and further or closer...and...and...Sheesh!
3D Molecules and Bezier curves and dynamic circle-drawing and now this. My
brain will explode for sure.
Oh, you wanted "useful" input. Well....how about this. Please try to
comment the heck out of it if/when you make it a plug-n-play. Maybe even a
"front page" that tells where to find all the code, sort of a road-map, as
it were.
Wow
