Subject: FLASH: Flash and communicating with external scripts
From: JT

I have a flash movie that contains a text field (variable
"countervalue")
I have a cgi script that I call using:
Load Variables ("http://blah.com/cgi-bin/counter.cgi?increment=yes", 0,
vars=POST)

The cgi script will pass back...countervalue=12345

Do I have to do anything to update the actual text field such as parse
it, etc.? Or does the text field automatically get updated, once the
CGI script passes back the value?

I'm trying to follow an example in a book I just bought and it wasn't
clear.

Thanks!
