This is how I did it, but I'm still fairly new too, so it may not be the
best way...
put the MCs into frame one and two. Add a second layer and call it
actions/labels. Put a stop command in frame one. Open the first movie
clip. Add an actions layer. In the last frame, add the scipt
Stop
Tell Target ("/")
Go to and Play ("clip2")
End Tell Target
now go back to the main movie line and in the second frame of the
actions/labels layer, add a new keyframe. In this keyframe, add a stop
action, and on the label tab, enter the name you used in the Go to and
Play command (i.e. "clip2"). this should play the two movie clips, one
after the other. at the end of the second MC, add the same script you
used in the first MC but label it for the next frame ("clip3" perhaps).
