FLASH: Variables and text fields.

Okay here's my problem....


I have a flash movie that uses variables extensively. One text area using a

variable sometimes contains text that is a lot of characters and sometimes

only a few. I have created a scrollbar that works with this text box to help

when it is a long string of text. Now....when it is only a short text

message I don't want(or need) the scrollbar. I know that you can

Getproperty() from a MC and SetProperty() of a MC but can you do these for a

text field? I have the text field inside a movie clip already but I have to

have a big text field in case there is a lot of text. Can I bring in the

variable, see how big it is, and adjust the hieght of the text field

dynamically? Any help would be appreciated.
