Louise -- I'm on a PC but it show work the same. Go to print, choose Acrobat PDF Writer/Properties/ at the bottom of the properties box there is a fonts button, click on that button and that opens another dialog box which has an "embed all" fonts check box.

Hi Paul,

Sorry - I didn't get this message until late tonight, so my answer may be too
late. However, I discovered the hard way that the .pdf files created with
FreeHand didn't embed fonts. So much for the easy way of sending .pdf files!!
(Glad to hear FH9 will change that).

To do what you want from FH now, you want to print to file. This will create a
postscript file which you will save on your disk. .. you should be asked if
you want to embed all fonts or all except standard 13 (or something like that),
etc. Select all fonts and print to file which will create a .ps file. Then
you must open Distiller (I am still using 3.02 and it works just fine, thank
you) in order to create the .pdf file from the .ps file. Then, if you want to
be sure it is exactly what you wanted it to be, you might open it in Acrobat
Reader to check it out.

HTH
