Subject: | FLASH: Compression image questions: |

Am I right in thinking fromthe .swf report that
the images output with Lossless compression are still included at the
Compressed values?
That compression from the library at jpeg 80% is preserving the quality
at 80%?
That finding what images will work at lower compression is a matter of
testing and tweaking?
Bitmap Compressed Original Compression
----------------------- ---------- ---------- ------------

JPEGboardroom2.jpg 18088 151200
JPEGStockEx.JPG 15286 47376 JPEG Quality=80

JPEGCurrency.png 10265 67800 JPEG Quality=80
WorldFairglobe.JPG 17602 30000 Lossless

WHY IS THIS HAPPENING? This Images show ZERO use in the library but
they are being output in the .swf report. I did use some of these
images on import [and .swf import], but I cut and edited the originals in
Flash and created new MCs. Now they show zero use. Can I safely delete
them from the library? Will it lower the size of the published .swf?
Bitmap 69 5282 45000 JPEG Quality=80
Bitmap 68 5302 45000 JPEG Quality=80
Bitmap 67 5374 45000 JPEG Quality=80
Bitmap 66 5200 45000 JPEG Quality=80
Bitmap 65 5105 45000 JPEG Quality=80
FINALLY -
What does IMPORT when viewing properties in the library of an image DO?
It seems to replace the currently selected image with the imported one...
is this correct?
I used some large jpegs to block in a flash but want to scale the
graphics down to cut the file sizes... I did this and then reselected the
newly named image to import over the older one...
