URL Encoding was a bad word then. Is there a way to send those attributes
from the text file into flash so the text appears the way I have it in mind
without splitting up my data into different text fields with different font
settings?

URL Encoding does not include translation for text attributes such as bold,
italics or underline. URL Encoding is a way of ensuring non-standard or
restricted characters (such as a slash, ampersand or similar characters)
appear properly in GET and POST operations.
