Hi there,


You could just make a rectangular marquee selection and click on 'select'

then 'modify' and then 'smooth' select how round you want the corners and

there you go. I hope this helps and that I'm not misunderstanding you.

If it's for Flash, it's easy to do by selecting the rectangle tool and

clicking the round-rectangle-radius button at the bottom.  In

Illustrator, it's also easy--just choose the round rectangle option of

the rectangle toolbar.  In Photoshop, AFAIK, you'll have to do it

yourself by adding a layer above the rectangle, adding a circle, erasing

all of the circle but the "corner", then erasing the rectangle corner

under it, then copying to the other corners.  Yuk, painful--that's how I

do it, but would love to know if there's an easier way!
