I feel this is flash's real weakness right now. It wants to control audio,
when I feel it would do a far better job just 'supervising' the sequencing
of sound to a program like winamp. From what I have read that would allow
for better streaming.

Thanks for the responses. I don't want it to skip frames so streaming is no
good, but I brought the sound down to 16kbps and that seems to have helped a
great bit... Except that the sound is really bad now. I don't really
understand why it won't play normally if I preload the sound. Is there only
so much memory the flash player can handle? For example I can play an mp3
with winamp and watch my animation at the same time and it plays fine. ah
well... guess im stuff with bad sound for now.
