I found that the campus bookstores do not give very good academic prices.
Much more competitive are the educational resellers that you can find on
Macromedia's site. Go to "Buy" at the bottom of the main page, then select
"buy Macromedia Products" on the pop-up menu. On that page, click on the
"educational resellers" link. Check the various web sites or call. There is
a VAST difference in prices, especially on Director. Also, most do not list
academic upgrades, but will give you a better price if you call and ask!

I downloaded the trial version of director for a class and the projector
runs
for just a second and then quits. Is this a condition of the trial version

something I did. Sorry, off-topic, but trying to implement flash into
