Subject: Re: FLASH: flash movie pulling variables from web

"Does Flash offer a mechanism to silently tell whether you're online?" is
half my question. If it's not possible to do the aforementioned, is it
possible to disable error messages from the flash player?

(My movie currently attempts net retrieval, which should on most computers
being up a dial-up or whatever mode the computer uses to connect to the
internet with. When that connection doesn't exist, I get error messages
from the flash player. The movie runs without the remote variable files, so
those error messages have no need to display.)

thanks!
olga
