Just a bit more to clarify:
each ../ goes back one MC.
So like mentioned here ../../../../ goes back 4 MCs to the main timeline
IF you are only 4 nested levels deep in an MC.
The shortcut as mentioned as well is just using the / to get quickly back
to the main timeline, no matter how deeply you are nested in an MC.
This works for sending variables from a nested MC to the main timeline
as well.
