Dom, 


  You mentioned both Get URL and FS commands--I'm sure FS is the one you

want to do this, not Get URL.  If you search on "open external program"

at http://i-technica.com/flash/flashlist.html, there are two suggestions

for opening an external app with a parameter (word file).  I haven't

tried either, so don't know which (if either) is correct, but would like

to hear from you if you get either to work!
