My mommy just made our company logo into a transparent
gif for me (for my presentation). she used Corel to do it.
so if you have access to that it is pretty easy.

but, what you may be seeing is actually a color very close
to white, but not white, so when the program makes it
transparent there is actually color there the program detects
but you can't really see.

some programs have sensitivity settings, but a sure way to solve
it is to go in and pixel by pixel erase that color, or use a mask to
grab and delete them. yes I know it is no fun.
