thanks for the comments ricardo & ilia! yes i did use swish, but beforehand

did the effects manually for practice.  given by one week project spec, i

wanted to rush things along. yes, perhaps i'll pick up the pace, but i

wanted it to flow with the tune (peace in zaire, don't you love it?).  


a few follow-up questions...

1) i've got the preloader set to 'all'... should i be doing something

different?

2) my file is huge.  it's due to the music (for the mouseovers and the

bground).  the wavs are huge-- i've got them set to event, 9999.  any

suggestion as to how i can compress them?

Well, looking at your mouseovers, I infer that you downloaded Swish and got

the text effects from there.  I would make the rollovers a consistent type

of effect, not a collage of all the combinations that Swish makes available

to you.  Be very careful with text animations... I feel you are overdoing

the effect.  I would actually recommend you do the text effects manually, if

in fact you did create them with Swish, so that you get a better feel of how

animation works and how the tweaks give you different results... you'll be

pleasantly surprised.


ALso, I feel your animation is too slow... don't be afraid to have things go

faster on the screen... ease in and out of tweaks,as well...

hello there.  my name is erica and i just started experimenting with flash a

few weeks ago.  i really do enjoy it so i took a few days to throw together

a site to market myself (i'm considering leaving the industry).  here is my

first draft--- i've got tons of work to do, but am open to constructive

criticism.  for starters, i need to put in a mouseover scroll bar for all of

the content under 'experience'. any other thoughts?  thanks so much in

advance for the feedback!
