>From what I have heard, you can write a cookie from Flash and then load it
in when you run the movie, not quite sure how you would write the cookie
though.

I'm asking because I want to do something simple-- have flash write a
preferences file for a user game or application run locally.... any ideas
on how I would do this? It seems Flash *should* be able to write to a file
the way Director can...
