Subject: FLASH: Stopping Action
From: Scott & Jen McMillan

Hello all:

Perhaps someone could help me with a problem.

I have a movie with a main time line of 10 frames, each with a stop command
embedded. Each one of these frames contains a movie clip of about 30
seconds, and at the end of each clip is a tell target command to go to the
next frame of the main time, then the next movie clip plays, etc. to the
end.

I'm trying to put a button in the main time line that will "pause" or stop
the action entirely, ie: the movie clip, then start again from where it left
off when another button is pressed.

Is there a way to do this with one command, or do I have to embed a seperate
tell target command in each frame of my main movie line that will refer to
the specific MC in that frame and stop it?

Any help would be tremendously appreciated.

Thanks.
Scotty.
