Hi Rusty,

You read correctly I just misstated thinking Freehand when Illustrator
was said. It's my prejudice showing all those imported programs seem the
same :-)
You can't import Illustrator 8 files into Flash 3 because Illustrator 8
was not out yet.

For Illustrator:
Set Color Mode as RGB (if possible)
If you import as Ill 6.0 files you will have some color shift even if
you set the mode as RGB.
If you export as Ill 7.0 files you should be able to have identical
colors for RGB though they may not look the same in the 2 programs
(check the numbers)
If try to import Ill 8.0 files you will normally get garbage.

Copy and paste seems to work with proper color from Illustrator 8.

Many advanced Illustrator 8 feature are just ignored when exported as an
earlier version of Illustrator or when imported into Flash.
