 A major publisher in the Los Angeles area has  an exciting opportunity for

 a Multimedia Editor in their new media department .  The successful 

candidate will work with the Art  Director to manage multimedia production 

across the publisher's  family of sites.  

 

 Responsibilities include: 

 

 ... Tracking industry trends. 

 ... Making decisions about lab maintenance and upgrades. 

 ... Recommending standards of multimedia content. 

 ... Scheduling of all multimedia on the site. 

 ... Developing relationships with outside multimedia vendors and  suppliers. 

 

 The successful candidate will have: 

 

 ... Knowledge of audio and video editing and web compression techniques

 for delivery in various formats. 

 ... Current hardware systems knowledge, preferably Mac based. 

 ... Knowledge of archiving and database systems helpful. 

 ... Production skills, including experience as producer/director for

 off-site shoots and coordinating vendors for such events. 

 ... Knowledge of animation and software capabilities such as Flash and

 Director, Premiere, Media Cleaner Pro, Real Networks, Quicktime, Windows

 Media.
