You're doing EXACTLY what I did... except that I'm not in school anymore ;).
I've found that trying to forget how to do things in Lingo is the most
difficult part of the whole adjustment process. But the best way to get
used to it is to jump right in and try to do something you have absolutely
no clue whatsoever how to do. Then start using the 3rd party books and this
list to dig yourself out. The experience and knowledge you'll acquire will
be more valuable than a dozen articles.
This is speaking from experience.

Subject: FLASH: looking for Flash article for Director users
Hi Flashers
I familiar with Director and am confident working in its environment.
I really want to get into Flash, and I've been caught up with other
obligations like school and work. I'm wondering -- is there an article
out there that describes Flash from the perspective of a Director
user, explaining and comparing the features in Flash with/to their
counterparts in Director?
Any other pointers for coming to Flash with a Director mindset?
Thank you!
