FLASH: Simple instructs/examples please!

Can anyone give me some quick and easy instructions on creating a 

motion path for a tweened animation? The manual is very unclear! I 

can't seem to get the animation to attach to the path layer. I do 

have Snap to Guide selected in the animation layer.
