Cheri - thanks for your reply. I can't really start the left position at a

different

point because it's based on the user's mouse coordinates. As for trying

dividing by

2 instead of 3, I still get the same problem. Everything works from the

right. But

from the left, I always end up with a repeating number for the difference

and then

adjusting the logoX variable by the difference stops working. It's as though

the

Set Variable function quits. I mean, you'd expect that it would continue to

update

logoX, but it just stops. Look at logoX: it stops changing and difX goes to

a

repeating number (whether I use 2 or 3). I'm really stuck. Any ideas?
